Nelson County, Virginia. One of my favorite places to visit. Only a short drive from Charlottesville, this area has so much to offer for everyone, regardless of what you’re interested in. For the over 21 crowd, it has some of the best stops in Virginia for adult refreshments. Most of these places are also kid and pet friendly, too. There are also plenty of trails for hiking, biking, running, and site-seeing. Big fan of the snow? They’ve got snowboarding, skiing, and tubing, too!
Check out some of my favorite places to stop when I visit Nelson County. But trust me, this is just a very short list of everything Nelson has to offer!
